A mixtape (also known as a Mix CD) is often the name used for a CD which is a collection of an artist or crews recent or past songs, which also features freestyles, remixes and skits.

Mixtapes usually never make it past the hardcore Grime fans as they are mainly released independently and receive minimal promotion.
