Ian 'Maxsta' Koromah is a Grime MC from East Ham, E6 in the Borough of Newham, East London. He is rated not just as one of the best MC’s from his age group but also as one of the best in the scene as a whole. Still only 18, he has already released his debut mixtape, entitled The Maxtape & has worked with some of the biggest names in the scene such as Dot Rotten, Flowdan, Frisco, Ghetts, J2K, Jammer, Wiley & many more. He made his video debut in the song skadoosh alongside Ghetts & Doller Da Dustman in 2010 which has received heavy rotation on Channel AKA and MTV Base.
He released The Maxtape in May 2010, the CD was met with a positive response by fans of the scene and some songs have been played on Kiss 100 and 1Xtra. In May 2010 he shot the video for 'East London is Back', his first solo video appearance. In August 2010, as a follow up to his debut mixtape, he released The MaxstEP as a free download. The other project in his discography was Certified Talent, a 2009 collaboration mixtape which also featured MC's Nutcase and Voltage. He has featured on many artists projects including Ghetts' 2010 mixtape The Calm Before The Storm, and on Frisco's CD Peng Food.
Maxsta has also been involved in lyrical wars with many MC's such as Kozzie and Double S, and has also aimed bars at North London MC Scorcher.
