Boy Better KnowFrom Grime Wikipedia
BiographyBoy Better Know are a grime collective and label established by the Adenuga brothers, JME & Skepta. The name; "Boy Better Know" originated as a catchphrase from fellow Meridian Crew member Big H. JME and Skepta soon drifted away from the crew to create the label but are still heavily associated with Meridian's members. The label are well known for their business acumen, having released material for other artists in the scene, including Tinchy Stryder and Wiley, as well as their own Boy Better Know are arguably one of the most well known collectives in the scene. They are most well known for selling t-shirts with the labels logo printed on the front which have proved to be highly popular In 2008, the release of Wiley's 'Wearing My Rolex', quickly followed by Skepta's 'Rolex Sweep', was an attempt to get label interest for their debut album 'V.I.P'. The songs are part of a trilogy, the third part of which was the track 'It's Alright'. Their album will be released in the summer of 2008, and should include the songs 'Wearing My Rolex', 'Rolex Sweep', 'Doing It Again remix', and 'Too Many Man'. The album will be released on the Boy Better Know label. MembersBeefsBoy Better Know have had some beefs in the scene, most notably with The Movement. The clash was originally one that centered between Wiley and Ghetto, but now the feud is mostly between Ghetto and Skepta, the two having had clashes and writing bars for each other. The disagreement mostly revolves around the question of who is the 'King of Grime', with each artist claiming they are better than the other. Despite the argument mainly focusing on these two, the disagreement has become wider, with artists such as Shorty taking shots at The Movement and, in The Movement, Devlin made a dub for Wiley, along with Ghetto writing a track called 'Who's Got' on his mixtape 'Freedom of Speech', in which he directly sent for every MC in Boy Better Know.
