Mercston is a grime MC from Bow E3, East London, and is part of the grime crew The Movement. He had success with the track 'Summertime', which was heavily rotated on Channel U.

Whilst promoting his recent release, Da End Of Da Beginning mix CD, Mercston has completed his second music video for the club banger 'Good Old Days', featuring Ghetto. He has been supported by radio stations such as Kiss 100, Choice FM and 1xtra.

On 6 October 2006, Mercston was sentenced to five years' imprisonment after being convicted of raping a 15-year old schoolgirl at a Prince's Trust concert, despite many claims that he was actually innocent.
