The alias of Grime Unearthed explained:

"Grime Unearthed represents two aspects of the experimental nature of my style. The grime represents the garage/grime, synth heavy, aggressive aspect; and unearthed represents the newness and experimental nature of this style of music."

About Grime Unearthed

Grime Unearthed as a concept arose sometime around late 2007; consequently projects of the producer in question were only released in the early months of 2008. Despite this Marvin as a producer as been experimenting with grime since the age of 14 (Now 16.8 years of age) when he purchased the Treading On Thin Ice LP - producer by Wiley (widely regarded as the grandfather of grime). Marvin is also a prominent designer, especially of vector art and Myspace layouts and is comfortable with Adobe CS2-CS3 and Illustrator.

Prior to the Grime Unearthed project Marvin Also used the alias Sandman.

Inspirations

Grime Unearthed is an amalgamation of a wide range of genres, sub-genres and individual musical styles. A catalogue of inspirations would follow thus(but is not limited to: Marvin Gaye; Black violin; Mike shinoda & fort Minor; Kanye West (pre-2007); Sam Black; Clawz; Ronald Jenkees; Wiley & Roll deep; JME; Kano; DEEWORK;and Klashnekoff
