Dat Boy Rippz
Rippz (real name Jake Hanrahan)is an MC from the East Midlands, Kettering, Northants. Rippz is known across the Northants District and established himself as an artist early through clashing and performing at local sets.
Rippz got properly known and recognised in the Northants Grime Scene in about 2005 when he was 15. He made several tunes and had a few clashes with local MC's which got him heard by other artists in the district. In 2006 Rippz performed at his 1st rave infront of 400 people with another local MC named Rhymez Kid.
This got Rippz heard and promoted further afield. He began making tunes with other artists and bulit up a fanbase.
Northants Accent Volume One
In 2007 Rippz felt it was time for his 1st mixtape. He used all local beats from Northants producers such as Tubz-Mann, Seargant Skitz, Spookzville and many others. He released his mixtape Northants Accent Volume One in late 2007, after sellin around 90 copies on road he decided to put it up for free download.

Rippz called it Northants Accent because he felt the Northants Grime Scene was seperate from others, different flows, patterns, subjects and accent. He felt this name would make people pay attention
Known Songs
Rippz got heard across England for his Summertime tune and I Hate Your Wifey featuring iLL Murk (SRE). The humourous parody about promiscuous rude girls made an impact and got Rippz heard further. He was then approached by Deadly Nightshade the Axe Fm clash champion. They did a tune called Hold Your Horses which was an instant hit.
Future Projects
Rippz is currently working on a music video for "Summertime" and also seeks to do one for I Hate Your Wifey. He is also planning to release Northants Accent Volume Two late 2008 and will then work on his 3rd mixtape Check My Lingo.
